Acai Smoothie Bowl

I am a sucker for a good smoothie bowl! I wanted to share a recipe with all of you that I have been using for a few years now. Obviously you can make your own modifications but here is how I make mine!


I am OBSESSED with this recipe. I have been enjoying it during my lunch hour on my patio for a nice midday pick me up! It has helped me stay a little more sane and gives me the dose of sweet I have been craving lately.


Recipe


Time: 5 mins

Ingredients: 8 Whole Frozen Strawberries, 1 Packet Frozen Acai (Sambazon is my favorite), 1/4 Cup Frozen Pomegranate Seeds, 1/4 Cup Apple Juice, 1/4 Cup Pomegranate Juice, 1 TBSP Ground Flax Meal, 1 TBSP Chia Seeds, 3/4 cup Granola + Honey


Start by breaking up the Acai packet. I usually bang it against the counter or use a mallet to do so. Pour in the Acai packet, Whole Strawberries, Pomegranate Seeds, Apple Juice, Pomegranate Juice and Flax Meal. Blend thoroughly. Add more liquid if need be. Pour into your favorite bowl. Top with Granola, Chia Seeds and Honey. Voila! You have a delicious blender bowl!


I love using my nutribullet as it blends everything really well and is SUPER easy to clean. Just pop the cup and blade in the dishwasher and you are in business!
